Development of modern fire clay industry goes together with the development of the industries which use the fireproof fire clay materials, like steel and non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical industry, cement, ceramic, glass and lime industry, shipbuilding, boiler industry, etc.

Fireproof materials are made from minerals and they have to be able to retain their basic functional characteristics, without major changes, under the sudden temperature changes, molten metals, clinker, glass, waist gasses or mechanical strains.

It is wrong to think that fatigue endurance of fireproof lining depends only on the right choice of incorporated material, because beside the brick quality, the quality of their installation is crucial as well as the handling of the thermal plants in operation. 

 The right choice of the fireproof bricks and the quality of their installation is just one side of the problem, if we consider the usage of fireproof materials from the economic point of view. Plus, the consumer can make significant savings using standard brick formats, both in the construction of new plants and in maintainance of existing ones.
